Guro Daniel Lonero and Guro Marie Lonero are two of the finest martial art instructors you will find. Getting the opportunity to train with these world-class instructors in such an intimate setting is a blessing for both beginners and advanced students. Their smaller class format ensures much more personal attention than you will receive at most schools. In addition, the studio is immaculately clean and has an almost zen like feel to it. I am very grateful for the time I have spent training at XTMA and would highly recommend anyone who is serious about learning and practicing martial arts to check it out.

Guro Daniel Lonero & Guro Marie Lonero are the absolute top class of martial arts instructors. They combine deep knowledge in martial arts, functional training and history. Combined with excellent didactic skills and progression, they offer all martial artists, from beginner to professional level, optimal training. Daniel and Marie never lose focus themselves and continue to study & train daily to improve themselves. They are true role models!

I have been training online with Guros Daniel and Marie for about 2 years now. I am always learning something new and it challenges my martial arts abilities in a positive way. Since I don’t have a school to train at in St. Louis, the online format has been so essential to me. I really enjoy the classes, as Guro Daniel shares the art and the history behind the Filipino Martial Art that we train. I would highly recommend his classes to anyone who wants to learn FMA – he is an excellent instructor!!

World class martial art instruction in El Segundo. I have been studying under Guro Daniel Lonero for almost 10 years. Both him and his partner Guro Marie, are tremendous martial artists, athletes and teachers. They teach with a clear focus on combative skill, progression, mental strength and balance, and also respect for the history and culture behind the martial arts. They have something to offer everyone from the most seasoned practitioner to the absolute beginner. Well worth a visit.

Definitely, the best martial arts studio to train in El Segundo or world-wide (thanks to the on-line classes). Guros Daniel and Marie are some of the most highly-educated and kindest martial arts instructors you will find. Since they approach to martial arts in its broadest sense (physical, mental, cultural, philosophical, etc.), you will surely find your place there. I come to this studio at least twice a week and it is one of the best martial arts facilities with the best instructors in LA. Coach Dan and Khay Man mix techniques, cardio, and play together which helps physical health and sharpen mental focus! Thank you Coach!

Their wealth of knowledge knows no bounds and they are constantly researching and learning, never resting on their laurels. I’ve been training with them for over 2 years now and I can’t believe how much more I’ve learned through them and newer aspects of material that I already knew. If you truly want to have a well rounded knowledge of the arts from stand up to ground to weaponry, then XTMA is where you want to be. Training with them live or even the online program, with multiple classes weekly, you won’t be disappointed. I’ve been training in the martial arts for over 40 years & am a retired NYC Police Officer. I’ve trained with many people over the years and have experienced many life threatening situations. Guro Daniel and Guro Marie’s studio in El Segundo is fabulous. I attended a BJJ class there a few days ago and Guro Daniel’s instruction was top notch. The facility was clean and was in a very quaint location in beautiful El Segundo. Guro Daniel and Guro Marie’s versatility and talent in the striking, grappling, and Filipino martial arts is unique. If you’re ever in LA and want to train in a premier martial arts facility, one place you must go to is the XTMA studio in El Segundo!
